Are you a reliable and hardworking Truck and Trailer Driver looking for a varied and rewarding role? Our client is a small yet dynamic civil construction company based in the Horowhenua. They specialize in both residential and commercial projects, offering exciting and diverse work across multiple job sites.
About the Role: This full-time, hands-on position is perfect for someone who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. In addition to operating the truck and trailer, you'll also be expected to assist with physical ground works on-site as needed, helping to keep the wheels of the job moving smoothly. Whether it's transporting materials, machinery, or assisting with site prep, no two days are the same.
You'll be working across both residential and commercial sites, contributing to a variety of construction projects. There will be times when weekend or night shifts are required, as well as the possibility of traveling for out-of-town projects on occasion.
We are looking for Someone Who: Holds a valid Class 4 or 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Is physically fit and ready to pitch in with manual labour when required.
Has experience operating a truck and trailer in a construction setting – This is not line haul work.
Enjoys a varied role and thrives on a busy, fast-paced environment.
Has a strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
Is flexible with hours, available to work weekends or nights when needed, and happy to travel out of town for certain projects.
