Job description:About your roleIn this Bulk Liquids Transport role, you will be responsible for the loading and delivery of bulk liquid chemicals throughout the North Island and be a key interface between IXOM and our customers.
Integral to this role will be your ability to maintain our strong commitment to Safety, Health and Environment, uphold high standards in relation to your vehicle presentation as well as preparation of paperwork.Working as part of the Mount Maunganui SCR team which is a 7-day a week operation, your work roster for this position is 5 days on 2 days off, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week plus OT and allowances (when available) on top of your base salary.As Ixom's customer base covers the length of the North Island (and South) you could be required to stay away some nights during your rostered working days (allowances provided and costs covered).Key ResponsibilitiesDrive class 5 heavy trucks / tankers.
Class 4 may also be considered.Carry out loading and unloading as per BLT Transport Procedures.Ensure all Ixom products are handled safely.Complete documentation related to deliveries.Provide strong customer service to all customers.Positively represent the IXOM brand while on the road and at customer sites.Who are we looking for?Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Class 5 operator.Positive attitude, driven, self-starter.Flexible to work on weekends in busy times.A good understanding of and commitment to health, safety, and environment in the workplace with a strong customer focus.Basic mechanical knowledge highly regarded.Strong Customer Focus.Good team player with interpersonal skills.Benefits at IXOMWe take looking after our people seriously.
