Reporting to the Finance Director, as a Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's cash management, liquidity, and financial risk management activities. Your primary focus will be to optimize cash flow, ensure sufficient liquidity, and mitigate financial risks while complying with applicable regulations and best practices. The Treasury Manager will collaborate with various departments, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to manage financial resources effectively.Responsibilities:Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances, forecast cash flows, and initiate fund transfers to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and investment opportunities. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce idle cash balances.Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiate banking services, fees, and interest rates, and evaluate the performance of banking partners. Stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities to enhance banking services.Cash Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting models to provide timely and reliable cash flow projections. Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data for the cash forecast.Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, credit risk, and counterparty risk. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.Investment Management: Oversee the organization's investment portfolio, evaluating investment options to optimize returns while maintaining an appropriate risk profile. Ensure compliance with investment policies and regulatory requirements.Debt Management: Monitor the organization's debt portfolio, including bonds, loans, and other borrowings. Evaluate refinancing opportunities and make recommendations to optimize debt costs and structures.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards related to treasury operations. Stay informed about changing regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.Treasury Reporting: Prepare and present regular treasury reports to senior management, providing insights into cash flow performance, investment returns, and financial risk exposure.The Successful ApplicantWill hold a professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA)Proven experience in treasury management, finance, or related roles, with a strong understanding of cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management.Proficiency in using treasury management systems and financial software applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.The BenefitsCirca $140,000 + super and bonusFlexible / Hybrid working.
