About the role
This is a role in our Corporate Treasury team and reports directly to the Group Treasury Manager. This is a great opportunity to work for a large New Zealand exporter. We want you to support the team across Treasury activities which includes cashflow management, debt, foreign exchange and financial reporting. You will contribute to designated Treasury operations and have the ability to improve processes to gain efficiencies. You will ensure finance compliance and provide valuable information and insights to drive better decision making and support our global growth.
Key responsibilities
Ensure the effective and efficient operation of Treasury back office
Prepare daily cash & liquidity management reports
Prepare ad-hoc and monthly management reporting, half yearly and annual financial reporting, forecasts and budgets for Treasury, in accordance with IFRS and GAAP
Ensure Treasury systems and banking platforms are maintained and effectively managed
Engagement with banks, sales offices & other internal stakeholders
Support compliance with Treasury Procedure and Guidelines and assist with maintaining Treasury Guidelines
Assist with and lead team specific Continuous Improvement and ad hoc projects
About you
To be successful in this position you will be a motivated person who enjoys working in an international environment, articulate with attention to detail and good communication skills. You are passionate about all things Treasury - process, system improvements and providing insights, with a team player mentality and who is naturally curious and questioning.
Your technical skills will include:
Working towards becoming CA, CPA, or CFA qualified (or similar professional body equivalent)
Ideally 2-3 years' working experience in Finance
Previous Treasury and/or Accounting experience is an advantage
Experience with reporting tools (Excel, Power BI) and ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage
Proactive, self-motivated with effective organisational skills
Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive change
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer service focus and results oriented
