New Zealand Journeys (2007) Limited is a professional and highly respected inbound tourism company specialising in providing wonderful New Zealand touring experience for our clients mainly from Asia.
 
We are expanding our East Asian markets and are looking for a very experience, highly competent candidate to join our very capable, fun and very close-knit team in our Auckland office.
The candidate we are seeking must has a minimum of ten years consecutive work experience in both outbound and inbound tourism in the East Asian markets, has been performing the role of tour leader leading tour groups overseas, has attended
tourism trade shows, has driving licence, has good command of the English language, proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, Excel and most importantly, excellent command of Chinese.
 

- Days required: 5-6 days a week, including weekend.
- Minimum 30 hours (maximum 60 hours) a week.
- Rate and salary: $32 - $38 per hour.
- Location of work:   3C Olive Road, Penrose, Auckland 1061, New Zealand.

 
Job Description
· Address travel queries from overseas agents
· Maintain close contact and relationship with our overseas clients
· Coordinate accommodations, flights, transportation for all groups.
· Coordinate with operations department regarding safety, disaster recovery and evacuation procedures.
· Coordinate with relevant parties to ensure smooth operations for tours and travel coordination with bus captains.
· Monitor safety and security of members within tour groups.
· Provide feedback from tour groups to operations department.
· Provide feedback to operations department on vendor selection and performance, and itinerary management.
· Provide information on logistic arrangements.
· Provide information on tour destinations.
· Provide tour briefs to tour groups.
· Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations during tours.
· Respond to complaints.
· Monitor and review agreements between tour agencies and the company.
· Review feedback from tour groups on tour services.
- Plan, organize, direct and control the operation of the whole East Asia department.
- Co-ordinate and direct the activities of staff, overseeing not only the day-to-day tasks, but the hiring, training and evaluating of staff members as well.
- Research new products and destinations, often by traveling to them and experiencing first hand the services available.
