Transportation Asset Manager

Fluid Recruitment is excited to exclusively work alongside the Invercargill City Council to help bring their next Transportation Asset Manager into the team.
The Position: In this role, you will lead the management and optimization of Invercargill's transport assets, ensuring they are maintained and developed to meet the city's strategic goals.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing asset and activity management plans, providing expert advice on infrastructure programmes, and overseeing the entire asset management cycle.
This position also involves supervising and motivating a team, driving asset management improvements, and collaborating with key stakeholders, including NZTA and local communities.
About You: The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with extensive experience in asset management, particularly in the transport sector.
We are looking for a strong leader who can inspire their team and has a proven track record in managing infrastructure assets.
The successful candidate will also need to have: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of asset management experience, with a focus on transport assets.
Experience in leading, developing, and motivating a team.
Strong understanding of infrastructure asset management, including asset registers, valuations, and GIS systems.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including NZTA and local government authorities.
Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation and expenditure control.
