Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) INVERCARGILL, SOUTHLAND based permanent rolePlatinum Recruitment is proud to partner again with this large employer in their search for a Logistics Manager based at their Southland site.
The Role:Through the management of inventory activities across the plant & stores, the Logistics Manager plays a critical part in running suitable processes & systems while developing leadership capability to achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach & manage a small team to deliver successful outcomes- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement- Manage controllable costs to keep operations as profitable as possible- Improve SOP's, business relationships & ensure SLA's are adhered to- Cultivate existing & new relationships in shipping & trucking contacts- Overseeing compliance at export level  Key Capabilities:- Experienced Logistics background with manufacturing experience- Excellent communication skills with solid computer & system knowledge- Good understanding of shipping & freight forwarding contracts- Commercial acumen with PNL & Budget Management experience- Responsible team leader with ability to influence others- Ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and present information Rewards:You will be rewarded with a large supportive & established team along with a competitive remuneration package.
