You will lead a fantastic Auckland-based team of drivers, dispatch, and yard staff.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing the Auckland depot operationsManage the out-bound loading of our Interisland transport fleetLiaising with sub-contractors to ensure reliability and quality of serviceLead and mentor the Auckland-based teamStrong health & safety commitment and focusExceeding customer expectations and delivering exceptional servicePlanning and managing vehicle services, VCA, COF, and repairsMaintaining and growing excellent customer relationshipsDriving business developmentCommunication across all levels of the businessKey Skills and Experience:Proven transport management and/or dispatch experienceAbility to utilise existing technology and learn new systems quickly and proficientlyExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workloadExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge and experience of NZTA rules and complianceSound knowledge of health & safety standards related to the transport industryCritical thinker and problem solverSound geographical knowledge of Auckland and New ZealandA positive 'make it happen' attitudeApplications close 29 November, and successful short-listed candidates only will be contacted by 30 November.Opzeeland Limited has a drug and alcohol policy.
