Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity To provide accurate and timely real-time roading travel information messages to enable road using customers to make informed travel choices.
To source, co-ordinate, validate and then communicate planned and unplanned road incidents and events that impact primarily on the NZTA State Highway network across Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty and on Auckland arterial roads.
To be a Subject Matter Expert on roading Travel Information and communication.
To provide quality assurance for real time road travel information.

Key responsibilities include:
Use your written communication skills to share road travel information in real time, via clear, easily understandable public messages.Adapting the messages for each medium; including producing bulletins, messaging for websites, press releases, social media content and other modes and mediums of delivery. Through these messages we influence and inform customers to change behaviour and improve road network performance.Proactively monitor the transport roading network and transport network performance (using various tools and systems) to identify potential and actual incidents and events.Co-ordinate with stakeholders. Represent ATOC Travel Information to align communication strategies for a whole of network response.Be proactive in dealing with written customer feedback.Planning and managing multiple stakeholders and channels (internal, various media and websites, social media, VMS etc.)Work and communicate effectively and courageously with others, focused on control room, team and customer outcomes. Take and carry out instructions diligently and respectfully.
