As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transport Service Manager to join our dynamic team in Auckland.
It is a full-time role - 30 to 40 hours per week, pay starts from $32 per hour.
Role Overview: As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our transport operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and exceptional service.
Your role will involve managing a team, developing strategies to enhance our service delivery, and working closely with clients to meet their transportation needs.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Vehicle Management: Organize the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a team of drivers and support staff.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage the transport budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
Compliance: Ensure all transport operations adhere to occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications: Relevant Diploma in business/management or logistics.
Proven experience in transport management or a related field would be preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards in New Zealand would be advantageous.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using transport management software and tools.
Able to work on weekends and late-night shifts.
