Your primary focus is to support policy development, asset planning, operations, and project delivery. This position requires a deep understanding of transportation systems, and your advice will help shape Council's transportation policies, strategies, and designs.In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, oversee the design and delivery of physical works, and ensure compliance with national strategies and best practices. You will have extensive expertise in transportation engineering principles and processes, especially in areas like sealed and unsealed roads, bridges, and street lighting.Technical and Legislative Knowledge: Strong ability to interpret and apply transportation-related legislation and national policies. You will ensure projects align with local and national standards while contributing to strategic and operational plans.Collaborative and Leadership Skills: A capable leader who can effectively work across teams and sectors. You will communicate technical information clearly, influence stakeholders, and lead initiatives that support Council's strategic objectives.Problem-Solving and Innovation: An innovative thinker who can address transportation challenges through creative, sustainable solutions.
