Transaction Officer

The Finance Team is seeking a full-time Wellington based Transaction Officer for a fixed-term position. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices and ensuring the accurate, timely, and effective invoice management as part of the Transactions Team within the Risk and Financing business unit. You will be working closely with the other members in the finance team to ensure the processes run smoothly.
Responsibilities Provide accurate and timely accounts payable services which include processing supplier invoices and answering accounts payable queries.
Process staff expense claims and credit cards.
Reconciliation and analysis on suppliers and other reporting as required.
Monitor Transaction email boxes, answering queries.
Communicate with Natural Hazards Commission suppliers in relation to invoice queries.
Minimum Requirements 1-2 years relevant experience or related qualifications.
Experience in internal control principles and processes.
Accounts payable process and controls.
Familiar with computerised accounting systems.
Experience with Oracle would be advantageous.
Ability to use skills and initiative and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
