Job Description Join AFFCO Napier and embark on an exciting journey as a Trainee Tannery Operator! We're seeking enthusiastic individuals eager to delve into the world of leather manufacturing.
In this role, you'll undergo comprehensive training in every aspect of the process, from receiving raw hides sourced from AFFCO's processing plants nationwide, to crafting high-quality, sought-after end products. You'll master the art of transforming raw hides into premium materials destined for global markets, including esteemed destinations like Italy and Thailand, where they'll be fashioned into a wide range of leather goods.
Key Responsibilities: Meticulously inspect products for any imperfections, ensuring strict adherence to our quality standards. Skillfully prepare solutions for cleaning, dehairing, and pickling hides, maintaining optimal conditions for the manufacturing process. Mixing and applying chemicals according to established formulae. This role is on a rotating shift basis which involves a two-shift structure over seven days a week.
