ABOUT THE ROLE
Ventia's new 7-year Hauraki Road Maintenance Contract looks after all maintenance and repairs on 630kms of the local roads for the Hauraki District Council and Waikato Region.
Put your safety vest on and join a team of 10 Road Maintenance Workers. As a Traffic Controller you will provide traffic management operations for our construction sites and local roads. You are a key player in keeping our crew safe on site, so they can ensure our roads are maintained and our families are safe on our roads.
Key Responsibilities:
Directing traffic and utilisation of a Stop/Go bat
Loading and unloading signs, cones and various gear on and off the work truck
Setting up the site safely for road maintenance operations
Interaction with the general public
General labouring duties
This full-time opportunity offers 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to finish early on the Friday. Your hours of work will be from 7.00am – 4.00pm.
Key Skills & Attributes Include:
Traffic control ticket required
Civil/Road's experience – Desirable
Minimum Class 1 driver's licence
Strong safety aptitude
