We are seeking a Concierge to join our team. A customer-facing and multi-faceted role within a small team. The successful applicant is an ambassador of The Foundation, responding to resident needs and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction & service standards are maintained.
We are offering a full-time role with morning, evening, and night shifts available. Minimum 32 hours per week. The role reports to the Chief Concierge.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as Concierge, you will work closely with the Chief Concierge and your duties will include:
Actively interacting with residents to anticipate needs and resolve any concerns that may arise, striving to exceed expectations and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Assisting with Club Lounge service and operations.
Assisting in the delivery of resident services, including meal service delivery.
Responding to emergency call activations as required, and liaising with emergency services.
Assisting in the coordination and booking of resident courtesy vehicle services.
Coordinating resident activities in a concierge capacity.
Ensuring public areas are always well presented.
Undertaking assigned cleaning and maintenance duties.
Ensuring safety and security of residents.
Assisting with administrative support as required.
Assisting with resident functions as required.
The Experience
We are seeking the following attributes and experience:
Experience in a similar role, i.e., concierge, porter, or front-facing service role.
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent standards of customer service.
A well-rounded individual with a 'can-do' disposition.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work with confidential information adopting the highest degree of discretion.
Ability to remain calm in the event of an emergency.
Driver's license, P endorsement preferable.
New Zealand residency or a valid work visa.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Punctual and well-presented.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Courteous and professional manner.
This position will be required to undergo police vetting as part of the industry requirements.
About The Foundation
The Foundation offers high-end residential accommodation for later life living. It is reaching its first significant development milestone with the first Residences, comprising of 46 luxury retirement apartments completing in mid-October. There will be over 150 residences once the development is completed. The Foundation will also include the historic Pearson House on the Domain, which is being restored and will offer residents a private club and include amenities such as an eatery, lounge and entertainment spaces, a boutique cinema, and gymnasium. There will be further community facilities planned as part of the broader development.
