Thai Massage Therapist

We are seeking three skilled and professional Thai Massage therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional massage and body treatments that align with spa protocols and industry standards. As a Thai Massage Therapist, you will deliver a range of therapeutic services aimed at promoting relaxation, relieving muscle tension, and enhancing overall well-being for our clients.
Requirements
To be considered for the position, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

A minimum of 3 years of related experience, or
A relevant qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level 4 or higher; overseas qualifications must be equivalent to New Zealand standards), or
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) certification from Thailand.

Job Descriptions

Perform therapeutic massage on the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, to promote healing and alleviate pain.
Use a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery.
Administer treatments designed to promote deep relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension.
Assess clients' physical conditions and provide targeted treatment for specific soft tissue dysfunctions, offering rehabilitation advice as necessary.
Incorporate additional techniques such as acupressure, Shiatsu, and other complementary therapies, including infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils, and herbal or mineral treatments, to support recovery.
Evaluate clients' case histories and physical conditions, offering guidance on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to improve mobility and reduce stress.

Other Details

This is a full-time and permanent position.
Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly.
Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law.
You will be working in Christchurch.
We open from Monday to Friday: 10 am – 6 pm. You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).

The employer has two shops located at: (1) 41 Nayland Street, Sumner, Christchurch, (2) 43 Nayland Street, Sumner, Christchurch. You will be assigned to work in one of these shops as agreed upon by you and the employer.
