We are seeking two skilled Thai chefs to join our culinary team.
Requirements
 Knowledge of Thai food ingredients and cooking techniques AND
 At least 3 years of related work experience or
 At least an NZ Register Diploma Level 4 qualification (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) or
 A National Skill Standard Test for Thai Chef (Level 1) from Thailand
Job Descriptions
 Culinary Development: Create and refine recipes, while carefully considering food presentation and ensuring our dishes consistently meet our quality standards.
 Menu Planning: Collaborate in the planning and design of menus, ensuring they align with our business goals and appeal to our customers.
 Supply Management: Monitor and assess the cleanliness and functionality of equipment, supplies, and work areas to maintain efficiency and quality.
 Team Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to maintain a harmonious and productive kitchen environment.
 Inventory Control: Keep a vigilant eye on inventory levels, reporting shortages promptly, and ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen.
 Safety and Sanitation: Oversee kitchen safety standards, ensuring adherence to sanitation practices and maintaining HACCP procedures.
 Food Preparation: Prepare, cook, and serve food according to established menus, consistently delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.
 Innovative Menu Concepts: Analyze consumer purchasing habits to develop menu strategies that drive continued growth and success.
 Cost Management: Monitor food wastage and raw material expiration to meet agreed-upon food cost targets.
 Receiving and Storage: Supervise the receiving and storage of ingredients and supplies to maintain product quality and freshness.
 Equipment Maintenance: Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of kitchen equipment and facilities.
 Team Relations: Foster strong relationships with front-of-house and kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Other detail
 This is a full-time and permanent position
 Wage payment is $29.66 per hour depending on your work experience and skills, and you will be paid weekly
 Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
 You will be working at 96 Spey Street, Invercargill
 We are open from Monday to Sunday, Lunch 11.00 am – 2.30 pm and Dinner 5.00 pm - 9.00 pm.
 You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
