About the role –
We have an exciting opportunity available in our Taranaki region for a resilient, sales-driven, service-focused, well-organised, and ambitious sales professional. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has proven sales experience ideally within a similar industry as well as a passion for dairy farming and our products. In this role, you will manage our well-established, loyal clients and proactively grow Deosan's market share in the region through on-farm selling, servicing, and retail distribution via our retail partners.

You will work independently in the Taranaki region with support from our North Island Regional Manager therefore proven sales and dairy shed experience is essential. You will thrive in an environment where you can be left on your own, be confident to deliver customer and retailer presentations, to promote our core purpose and passion for our products.

With your self-motivation to take ownership of your daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans we will support you with regular check-ins and team meetings. We have tailored in-house training and development to assist you as you become established, you will be well supported as you strive for success.
This role is fundamental for the success of Deosan's business, it is a hands-on role and offers a good balance of phone calls, farm and retail visits, managing promotions and presentations as well as stock management which you will action through our customised CRM. You will be contributing to Deosan's vision and culture daily.

Responsibilities include:
Agreeing on and managing your sales targets with the support of your manager, including identifying new business prospects and opportunities.
Confidently develop a thorough technical knowledge about the key benefits of our products to assist, support, and offer solutions to our customers.
Managing and growing the farm and retail client base in the region.
Preparing accurate and timely sales quotations.
Essential skills we are looking for –
A sound understanding of dairy farming or dairy industry shed knowledge is essential for success in this position.
A proven history in sales or farming is desired.
Previous experience building strong client relationships.
Relevant work and life experience along with networks in the Taranaki dairy industry.
Exceptional planning and organisation skills alongside initiative to get things done and drive for results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
An understanding of and commitment to Health and Safety.

This role is based in the Taranaki and as part of the North Island team, you will regularly review, discuss, and collaborate about the sales and campaigns. You will be part of a collaborative team of five great people in the North Island and there will be opportunities to work in other regions on a short-term basis to assist with special campaigns and projects. We will require you to travel around the region, giving you the flexibility to plan your travel. You will work from home when you are not using your company car to visit clients and retail customers daily. You will not be required to work weekends on call in this position.
