St Michel's understanding of New Zealand's bathroom furniture market is second to none. The Role: Reporting to the National Sales Manager, your primary objective is to continue to support and strengthen our relationships with our key customers and foster new business wherever possible. This is a key position within our territory management team, looking after two thirds of the "Golden Triangle" (Hamilton & BOP) as well as other peripheral territories such as Rotorua, Taupo & Gisborne. You will be expected to uphold our company values whilst continuously going the extra mile for our customers in the relentless pursuit of success. This isn't an "aim and shoot" style role; we're looking for someone who likes to roll their sleeves up and become fully immersed in what they're doing. You'll need to learn the products and the customers' systems intimately and become an expert in everything in the world of bathroom furniture. You will do the hard yards at the coalface, gathering and disseminating information and reporting back through to the National Sales Manager as well as sharing data/information with the other territory managers all with the aim of achieving the ultimate success of the business. If you're a person who likes to score the goals but doesn't like doing the grunt work, then this isn't the role for you. About You: Ideally, you will be located in either Hamilton or Tauranga, but we are open to other towns within the designated territory. Experience in the plumbing sector would be highly sought after. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and experience: Confidence and a willingness to learn. The ability to build rapport, influence, and close sales. Customer centric with a record of building strong customer relationships. The ability and drive to meet and exceed budget sales and margin requirements. Commercial acumen and analytical skills. The ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels. IT literate – Microsoft products and ERP experience. An affinity with the product range and the retail/commercial sales environment. First class planning and organisational skills to be able to effectively manage your time. Practical hands-on skills as the role includes tasks such as mounting displays and attending occasional service calls. A passion for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. We expect you will be experienced at selling high value consumer durable products through plumbers and/or building merchants. Applicants will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or a minimum of 3 years territory management experience.
