The Role At Imperial Brands, we have an exciting opportunity for a driven, commercially and technology savvy, customer focused Sales Representative person to be our new Territory Manager in Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, Napier in New Zealand . In this autonomous frontline sales role, you will be the face of Imperial, having commercial conversation with retailers to build and uncover new growth opportunities and build solid long-term relationships to achieve volume, distribution, share, and profit growth for Imperial Brands. As a Territory Manager , you will love being out on the road, working closely with retailers in your territory (e.g. dairies, grocery and petrol outlets), selling a wide-ranging portfolio of Imperial products through completing your call cycle. You will be away overnight approx. 6 – 10 nights each month. While your main focus will be on achieving short term goals and meeting your targets each cycle, you will also use your entrepreneurial thinking, commercial acumen and analysis skills of business and consumer led industry trends to work with your retailers on long term business proposals and plans that unlock future business growth opportunities in an adapting and fast changing environment. You will also work closely with your colleagues and leaders across the business so you understand Imperial's consumer and market strategies and get the best support to deliver 'best in class' store execution. Principle Accountabilities Deliver on the business's KPI's across Key Accounts, Key Accounts Wholesale and Independent Retailers. Build an in-depth knowledge of customer needs and shopper dynamics. Partner with retailers, Independent and Wholesale outlets in your area, establishing excellent relationships within your territory. Build customer advocacy for our brands by educating retailers in the market and industry legislation. Achieve sales, market share, distribution, availability, and coverage targets within your defined area and ensure that our trade incentives and activities are put to the best use. Identify new business opportunities by having an enhanced knowledge of the category and shopper behaviour in-store. Skills and Experience Required Understanding of wider team goals and how you can impact them. Self-supportive, managing time and resources effectively. Strong communication and people skills, and the ability to build rapport and relationships quickly. Able to use your initiative and to act exclusively when required. Efficient, accurate and timely in the administration associated with the role.
