In this role here at Mt Hutt, Methven you will be assisting in the design and build of alpine terrain parks that provide a safe and progressive environment for our guests. Your main responsibilities will be to maintain the parks to match the safety, progression, and aesthetic standards set in place. You will test features daily and critique the quality of each individual feature to ensure the highest quality product.
This is a front line customer service role requiring you to proactively provide guests with necessary information on the safe use of our parks as well as lead a team safely.
We seek problem solvers who can maintain a high standard of work consistently throughout the season, and who can operate and communicate as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
About the Role
Raking, shovelling, and maintaining features (including salting & dyeing)
Assisting with the design and building of the Terrain Parks
Assist the Terrain Park Head of Department with motivating, developing, and leading the Terrain Park team
Educate guests & fellow Crew members on the use and safety practices whilst using Terrain Park features
Assessing open/closed status of alpine park/features
Set-up of fencing and signage
Testing features
Delivery of awesome customer service
About You
Ability to factor flow, maintenance and progression when designing terrain parks
An understanding of spacing and snow quantity requirements
Experience in feature design and construction (joinery, fabrication, painting)
Promoting sustainability and the efficient use of resources
Possess an excellent health and safety record and understand hazard management processes
Proactive, take responsibility for upskilling and willing to contribute to our department goals and objectives
Experienced/advanced skier or snowboarder that can ride all terrain and parks and is comfortable doing so in all alpine conditions
Minimum 4 seasons experience in working in a Terrain Park Crew
