Velocity is seeking a Telecom Audit Analyst to join our Telecom Expense Management (TEM) team. The Telecom Audit Analyst is responsible for researching, classifying and auditing Telecom and Technology-related invoices for new Velocity clients. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of TEM, the Analyst will build an accurate view of the initial TEM inventory for each new client portfolio and/or new sites/services added to an existing TEM portfolio.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Research current voice/data inventory items at customer locations to upload the data to the company's internal TEM management softwareEnsure all inventory line items on client Telecom invoices are researched and documented properly in Velocity's database and requests are followed up on in a timely mannerConfirming the validity and current use for services at client sitesValidate the status and use of voice/data inventory items by investigating with multiple parties (Carriers, Vendors, Onsite Contacts, and Corporate Customer IT/Telecom Team)Receive incoming calls and respond to emails regarding inventory questions from various stakeholders including site contacts at client sites, various Telecom providers, and Velocity's TEM, Project Management, and Sales teamsRespond to customers in an expeditious and professional mannerOther duties and responsibilities, as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:12+ months experience in the Telecom industryAbility to multitask, working quickly and accuratelyWork well in a team-oriented environment, successfully completing individual tasksDemonstrated knowledge with Telecom networks and definitions – Fiber, Broadband, Wireless Cellular, POTS, VoIP, SIP, SDWAN and TDMKnowledge about and experience working with Telecom Carriers and Telecom InvoicingProficient with Microsoft ExcelAbility to speak and comfortable calling and having phone conversations with customer and vendor contactsQualifications, Experience and Education:Required Industry knowledge in Telecom and NetworkingExperience with Voice and Data Telecommunications product invoicing and CSRsAbility to acquire and analyze Customer Service Records (CSRs) and/or invoices from carriers to understand and document current services, distinguishing monthly recurrent charges vs non-recurrent chargesPreferredDemonstrated technical, leadership, and communication skillsExperience in Customer Service environment and with service provider networksIndustry knowledge in Telecom Expense ManagementWhy you'll love working at Velocity We are an energetic bunch — eager to succeed and have lots of company pride.
