Kiwilance Data & Security is a Telecommunications Installation and Service Company, providing solutions in Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, CCTV & Security, Wireless & WAN, Design & Consultancy. We are currently looking for Telecommunications Technicians to join our team. We seek self-motivated individuals who are willing to take on work challenges. You will need to have the following attributes to be considered for this role: Skilled in data cabling and telecom technician work, particularly in cable pulling and outlet installations. Basic knowledge of structured data cabling installations, preferably both copper and fiber optic. Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans (communication services, ceiling plans, wall plans, room layout sheets). Team player with professionalism, good relationship maintenance skills, and a keen eye for accuracy and quality. Competence with hand/power tools and other technical equipment. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. Knowledge of basic industry standards is advantageous but not required. Awareness and commitment to following health and safety work practices. Previous cabling experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate. No specific educational requirements, but trade experience or an Electronics & Communication qualification is advantageous. Must be able to pass police vetting and drug checks. Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, depending on job requirements. Willingness to relocate within New Zealand based on project needs. Enthusiastic and eager to learn about the telecom and security industries; training and qualifications will be provided as needed. We offer a competitive wage salary, uniform, tools, and phone.
