Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts
James Cook High School is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students. We currently have a roll of 1,600 students, including a Teen Parenting Unit based off the main school site in nearby Clendon. Our school continues to have sustained improvements across a wide range of metrics, including improving learning, engagement, and achievement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time (FTTE 0.4), permanent TPU teacher for a start date of 28 January 2025. Our kura provides education for the multicultural diversity of Manurewa.
We are looking for a leader who is committed to providing authentic learning contexts and has the ability to work closely with Maori and Pasifika students, whanau, and aiga. The successful applicant will demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of tikanga Maori and Pasifika protocols while creating strong, high-trust relationships with stakeholders and community agencies.
Successful applicants will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the New Zealand Curriculum and teaching pedagogies.
