Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeTechnology OfficerOur client, Development West Coast (DWC), has a newly created opportunity for a Technology Officer to join their team in Greymouth. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role is essential to ensuring DWC's ICT systems are reliable, secure, and innovative, supporting the organisation's purpose of driving economic growth across the West Coast region.About Development West Coast:Development West Coast was set up as a Charitable Trust in 2001 to manage, invest and distribute income from a fund received from the Government. This fund was an adjustment package for the loss of indigenous forestry and the privatisation of much infrastructure on the West Coast in the late 1990s. DWC is governed by a Deed of Trust to promote sustainable employment opportunities and generate sustainable economic benefits for the West Coast, both now and into the future.About the Role:We are seeking someone who brings not just technical expertise but also an understanding of business operations and organisational logistics. You will combine your ability to troubleshoot and optimize systems with strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring technology supports both the productivity and culture of the team.Maintain and optimise DWC's ICT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint, ensuring systems meet current and future needs.Provide technical support and training to staff, creating user-friendly documentation and ensuring team members are confident with the tools they use.Partner with internal teams to understand their needs and align technology solutions with business goals.Explore and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.Ensure data security and compliance across all systems, including compliance with the Privacy Act and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning.What You will Bring:A Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.3+ years' experience in corporate IT, including systems administration, hardware management, and staff training.A balance of technical expertise and business understanding, ensuring technology solutions align with organisational needs.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical team members.A collaborative and approachable attitude that fosters trust and teamwork.Why This Role?This newly created position offers an opportunity to take ownership of DWC's ICT systems in a supportive and collaborative work environment.
