This role requires flexibility, working on a roster including early, afternoon, and late shifts Monday-Sunday, with on-calls and days off.Key Responsibilities:Working closely with Scientist Unit Manager and Section Leader to ensure laboratory compliance with ISO.Managing day-to-day task distribution among staff.Participating in and leading quality improvement programmes.Ensuring processes and reports meet agreed timelines.Creating and updating documents and SOPs to reflect current practice.Planning, performing, and documenting equipment maintenance according to departmental protocols.Providing positive leadership and training/teaching other staff as required.Requirements:Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.Experience in qPCR and Sanger Sequencing is essential; Next Generation Sequencing is preferred.Excellent communication, speaking, and writing skills.Good knowledge of analytical processes in Molecular Diagnostics.Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.About You:We value teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
