They are currently looking for a skilled Estimator to join their team and contribute to their ongoing growth.
The Role Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Estimator will handle pricing inquiries from start to finish, also working closely with the Business Development Manager.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, creating proposals, and liaising with the technical teams.
The role involves reviewing technical drawings, obtaining material costs, and ensuring proposals meet customer specifications.
Key Duties Pricing & Documentation - Prepare and submit pricing proposals and tender documents.Internal Sales - Manage incoming calls and emails to address customer inquiries.Job Transfer - Effectively communicate job specifications to production and drafting teams.Responsibilities Ensure timely responses to pricing inquiries and maintain accurate records.Review technical documents and drawings to prepare cost estimates.Conduct site visits to collect data for accurate pricing.Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.Assist with procurement and provide support to the broader team.Experience & Qualifications At least 2 years' experience in estimating within a manufacturing or mechanical engineering environment.A diploma, degree or trade qualification in a related field.Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD software (Autodesk) is an advantage.Competencies Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.Please apply online with a cover letter outlining your key technical experience coupled with your CV detailing your work history & experience and what qualifies you for this role.
