Technical / Quality Assistant Role

Full-time permanent role based in Christchurch Negotiable salary + super Flexible working arrangements Relocation assistance available We're TC Transcontinental Packaging , a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in New Zealand, backed by our global TC family.
Our brand-new, state-of-the-art factory in Christchurch is looking for a Technical/Quality Assistant who shares our passion for excellence, quality, and, of course, a good laugh.
Your role As part of our TC Transcontinental team, you'll work closely with our Technical Manager to ensure the smooth running of our flexible packaging production.
Your knowledge and skills in the flexible packaging industry will contribute to maintaining the top-notch quality and efficiency that we pride ourselves on.
Your days will be filled with variety and stimulating challenges, including: Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritise tasks and keep everyone on track.
Cultivating strong relationships with both clients and suppliers.
Helping in raising quotes for new customers.
Getting hands-on with product testing to ensure everything is in tip-top shape.
Your experience...
Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, chemical engineering, or plastics.
Solid understanding of polymers and the ins and outs of flexible packaging manufacturing.
Experience in blown film extrusion with knowledge of LD & HDPE film structures and properties.
Working knowledge of ISO and Food Safety systems.
Familiar with multilayer film and laminated structures used in the packaging industry.
