A Quality Control Officer is required to witness testing of in-production goods and services by way of internal audit hold points or other inspection hold points (e.g., Blacklight testing and witnessing control testing, etc.). The QC role is pivotal in ensuring company products and services delight our customers. As a Quality Control Officer, you will ensure that the company's outgoing lifesaving products and services meet pre-defined requirements of international and industry standards, in addition to specific customer or government requirements. Accountabilities: Carry out inspection on incoming goods (including batch sampling) and outgoing goods. Witness production and third-party tests, workstation audits. Document quality issues, raise non-conformances, and other concerns. Sign off QA inspection hold points. Communicate with suppliers when investigating supplier quality issues and address them in a timely manner, proactively and professionally engaging production and engineering as required. Assist QA as required, including stretch support. Proactively and professionally liaise with relevant internal JFD departments. Contribution to company and departmental goals and objectives. Investigate product quality incidents and customer complaints and ensure corrective action follow-up. Operate the magnetic ranging facility and interrogate equipment within specified timeframes. Quality process, procedure, and documentation development. Any other tasks that are reasonably within the remit of the role. Knowledge Skills & Experience Required 2 years minimum QC experience or similar technical discipline. Proven inspection/workshop experience utilizing tools such as CMM (desired), micrometres, verniers, etc. Ability to interpret mechanical and/or electrical drawings. Good knowledge of quality standards and practices. Understanding of MRP Systems (Glovia) - desirable but not mandatory. Understanding and experience of Quality Management Software systems. Awareness of how quality control interacts with ISO 9001. Proficient IT skills including knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Awareness of certification and documentation requirements (ISO 10204) – proficiency desirable. Personal communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organization. Ability to work on your own and to specified timescales and project plans. Time management and ability to deliver to prioritized deadlines. Excellent attention to detail.
