Join our dynamic team as a Technical Product Lead (TPL) and play a crucial role in shaping the future of modern, impactful digital services.

We are on the lookout for a seasoned professional with extensive technical expertise, especially in Microsoft Azure (Administrator or Engineer) to provide operational oversight and planning advice across our infrastructure and technical services.

In this exciting position, you will collaborate with a diverse group of talented and passionate individuals, all dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for the Ministry.

The Technical Product Lead will define the product development process and implement best practices to deliver towards the Ministry's Digital Strategic Plan, specifically for the products and services owned by Digital Foundation Services.

This is a permanent full-time position located within the Ministry of Justice National Office in Wellington. This position is suitable for an experienced Microsoft Azure Administrator or Engineer of varied skill sets who can combine technical and administrative experiences into motivating and inspiring themselves and other team members.

The applicant must be able to work under broad direction that may often be self-initiated. You will be responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives, establishing milestones, and assigning tasks and/or responsibilities within the Corporate Services team.

The successful person will report directly to the Manager - Platforms and Data Management Services.

O pukenga / Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

Solid technical leadership skills backed by hands-on experience that achieve desired technical outcomes across the end-to-end service delivery life cycle.

Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure managed services (Virtual Machine management, Web Hosting & Database, Networking & VPN Connectivity, Storage and Backup Services).

Experience across the full system delivery life cycle.

Programming/software development: The design, creation, testing, and documenting of new and amended technical components from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed development and security standards and processes.

Systems design: To be able to provide specification and design of information systems to meet defined business needs. The identification of concepts and their translation into implementable design.

Retention of compatibility of systems with enterprise and solution architectures, and the adherence to corporate standards within constraints of cost, security, and maintainability.

Experience in product support, such as providing advice or training to peers, as well as working with vendors and incident management teams to resolve technical issues would be beneficial.

Ability to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within the organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across several partners and vendors.

Collaboration and communication with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues.

Understanding and appreciation of Tikanga Maori.

Solid understanding of Agile and Development methodologies would be advantageous.

Utu a-tau / Salary: The appointing salary for this role will be between $103,226 and $144,034 based on skills and experience.
