Need a Nerd is a leading technology solutions provider based in Invercargill, New Zealand, and are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic and busy team as a full-time Nerd Leader.
Role Overview: You will play a vital role in our team's provision of top-notch technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' environments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day managerial support of our Southland-based team and overseeing all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of technology, excellent problem-solving and people skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
Managerial:
Provide leadership and administrative support to the team, including HR, H&S, operations, accountability, and resource management - supported by our Head Office team based in Hawke's Bay.
Ensure the local team have the tools and support required to provide excellent service to our customers.
Support the team in the development and achievement of their professional development goals.
Reporting to the Group GM on dynamic results.
Monthly reporting to the National group on operations.
Updating and assisting the Group management team.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff management role, demonstrating a solid understanding of desktop infrastructure and support.
Experience and demonstrable knowledge of NZ employment requirements and Health & Safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
It would be advantageous, although not mandatory, to have the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of Eftpos systems advantageous but not mandatory.
Valid driver's license.
