Our world class technology, meticulous production values, the highest levels of ethical production and our adherence to environmental sustainability all contribute to our reputation for food excellence.Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is part of the Senior Management Team, interacting closely with Production Supervisors and wider compliance group. Your team comprises of 13 direct reports, which includes on-site laboratory and one Environmental Officer. You will advise and support the plant to ensure compliance standards are maintained in quality, technical, OMAR and environmental operation of the plant.Interacting closely with Production Supervisors, and the wide compliance group, you will lead auditing, verifications, and any correction action to close out with external providers and regulators.The role relies on the team to delivery, the successful application must be able to communication with a wide range of stake holders in a positive and fostered learning environment.Key outcomes of the position include:Effectively manage the Plant technical and compliance teams.Active member of the site Leadership TeamEnsuring the maintenance of hygienic product handling and processing methods.Managing external and internal compliance verification audits.Implement changes as required to Plant quality/compliance systems including but not limited not, RMP, HACCP and their associated policies and procedures, to ensure the plant meets customer, overseas market access and regulatory requirements.Maintaining PBV Step 6 and being a champion for the OOO program.Ensuring animal welfare compliance is maintained.Managing a constructive and effective relationship with government departments such as the Ministry of Primary Industries, AsureQuality and their representatives on site.Assisting with the coordination and hosting of visits from customer and other interested parties.Actively participate in the Manufacturing Excellence programBeing an active part of the wider business technical groupNga painga - what's in it for you?We are an employer that is committed to making a difference for families and communities and supporting people to build rewarding careers.
