A special interest in performance reporting and climate reporting would be beneficial.
In this role, you'll develop and implement policies related to auditing, accounting, and financial reporting.
You'll also provide independent, high-quality advice and guidance to appointed auditors.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing audit reports, policies, guidance, instructions, and reference material; Responding to queries, including technical auditing, accounting, and independence-related matters; Researching developments in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting.
To be successful in this role, you'll have: Recent practical financial audit experience as an Audit Manager; A comprehensive understanding of auditing and accounting standards and their practical application; A Chartered Accountant qualification from CA ANZ (or equivalent); Excellent oral and written communication skills; A proactive and collaborative working style.
The work schedule is generally five days per week (Monday to Friday), 40 hours per week.
As an organisation, people matter to us, our independence is critical, we act with integrity, and we're here to make a difference.
We offer our staff: Learning and development opportunities; Supportive, flexible working; A unique operating environment with Parliament; Health and well-being benefits.
We have a diverse and inclusive team that helps us to understand the issues facing the public sector and how these affect the lives of New Zealanders.
We strongly welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to tell us when you apply so that we can assist you through the recruitment process.
The expected salary is between $135,000 and $145,000.
