Team Member | Recreation Assistant - Birkenhead Pool and Leisure CentreThese are permanent part-time positions of two 8 and one 12 hours per week with opportunity for additional hours. Shifts below:
8 hours: Tuesday 12:45pm - 9:15pm8 hours: Monday 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Thursday 4:00pm – 8:00pm12 hours: Wednesday 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:45am - 6:15pmYou will help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes. This role will see you working with school students and community groups across the Auckland region.
Responsibilities: Rock Wall SupervisionDelivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitorsSupporting with the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5-12Helping the centre maintain a caring, fun, and safe fitness and leisure environmentHelping centre management with administration and operational dutiesSupporting with centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmesAbout You: You will already be passionate about sports and recreation and be ready to step into a frontline customer service role. You will need a First Aid Certificate; however, we can help you attain this if you do not have one.
We are keen to have a multifunctional workforce within our centres, so you would potentially have the chance to train and in time take on other roles such as Lifeguard, Learn to Swim Instructor, Fitness Instructor or Customer Service.

Pay Rate: $27.80 /hr
