An opportunity has arisen and we're now looking for a hands-on Team Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality services to our clients. You will assist the Service Operations Manager in managing resources, compiling estimates, and maintaining budgets. The role requires a strong blend of hands-on expertise in building maintenance and the ability to effectively manage a team, drive KPIs, and enforce health and safety standards.
Day-to-day activities include (but are not limited to) the following:Team Leadership Oversee a skilled team of 8 Handypeople, 2 Builders, and 4 Water Blasting TechniciansManage daily schedules and task assignmentsProvide hands-on support for timely, high-quality serviceTimesheets, recruitment, and performance management tasksActively support your team on-site, working alongside them when neededQuality Assurance & Client Relations Conduct site visits to verify work quality and client standardsImplement quality control measures for reliable service deliveryEstimating & Budget Control Prepare detailed job estimates, including resources and timeManage project budgets to minimize expenses and optimize resourcesSubcontractor Coordination Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliersCollaborate with external teams to maintain high standardsHealth & Safety Compliance Ensure adherence to H&S policies, including PPE and safety trainingInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsSchedule regular safety meetings and trainingMaintain accurate job, safety, and operational recordsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) Achieve KPIs by maintaining high service quality, staying within budget, ensuring safety, and meeting project deadlines.On-Call Support Participate in on-call roster for quick response to critical incidents and client needsWho we're looking forWe're seeking a Team Manager with prior experience in a similar industry, demonstrating proven leadership and a track record of team success.
