Full-time permanent position 40 hours per weekLocated in the peaceful Otorohanga DistrictGreat team and work/life balance About the role The purpose of the Team Leader Waters role is to lead a team of Waters Operators in providing services to the residents of the Otorohanga District. The role is a mix of leadership responsibilities and regular operator duties, including cover for both the Managers Waters and the Water Operators. The Waters Team works in one of ODC's highest risk environments and this role will be responsible for ensuring a proactive culture towards Health, Safety and Wellbeing is maintained.
About you As the Team Leader Waters you will have credible leadership and communication skills, be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and be adept at influencing, advising and reporting where required. To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum of five years' experience in water, wastewater treatment or reticulation operations Previous supervisory experienceWorking knowledge of three waters requirements and legislationAbility to provide guidance and advise to water operators after the normal work hours (on-call capacity). Basic understanding of three waters assets and maintenance requirements. An inherent awareness of Health, Safety and Wellbeing principles and practicesComputer skills (MS Office, Operations via SCADA)As part of working ODC you may be relied upon to support the response in the event of a civil emergency. You will be provided with all the necessary training to support such a response.
Remuneration The remuneration range for this role is $79, 673 – $93, 732 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
