Put simply, sustainability is what we do.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe have a great opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our team based in Auckland.Reporting to the Factory Manager, this is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient ongoing operation including cost oversight and management of your team.Key responsibilities will include:Allocating resources to handle incoming waste volumes to our busy 7 day a week.Working with the fleet coordinator in forecasting and scheduling truck maintenance.Providing operational training to staff and facilitating their development goals.Focusing on providing a reliable, timely, and cost-effective service that benefits the customer which also involves route scheduling and optimising.Conducting toolbox talks and safety meetings, when required, for the area of responsibility to facilitate communication and feedback with staff.Ensuring vehicles and equipment are operated in accordance with training, instructions, operating procedures, and company regulations. In particular, this includes performance of pre-start checks and application of LOTO procedures.Having an understanding of production & throughput to achieve set KPI's.Mechanical aptitude around machinery would be advantageous.QualificationsAbout youTo be successful in this role you will have had a minimum of 2 years prior experience in overseeing teams, ideally having worked in a medium-sized manufacturing facility or logistics environment.You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an excellent focus on health and safety are crucial for the role.A drive to assume responsibility and accountability for a business unit and participating in ongoing enhancements is vital.
