We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader Primary Mental Health to join our Wellbeing team. The Wellbeing team is a multidisciplinary team of mental health therapists and a health coach who provide brief intervention counselling in a primary care and community setting. The team works with clients with mild to moderate clinical needs and has strong connections with other NGO and community-based service providers.
As the Team Leader Primary Mental Health you will be responsible for the day to day operations management of the team and ongoing service development. This could include:
Day to day staff management including appraisals, line management supervision
Completing regular reporting internally and externally working with our practice management system
Supporting the development of interns and new graduate staff
Building and maintaining connections with a wide range of external stakeholders including council, local iwi, NGOs and community organisations
We are looking for an experienced clinician with at least 5 years clinical experience; some leadership experience would be an advantage. Knowledge and skills of working in a primary care setting and working with clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health needs is required. Additionally, we are looking for someone with an ability to think outside of the box and who identifies future opportunities in the field of mental health.
Willingness and commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and promoting positive outcomes for Tangata Whenua.
Ability to engage and communicate in an appropriate and respectful manner with Maori, Pakeha, Pasifika and other cultures.
