Education New Zealand - Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ), is a Crown Agency responsible for international education, benefiting New Zealand socially, culturally, and economically.
Promoting New Zealand education and working to support the delivery of education services offshore, ENZ also administers scholarships to New Zealanders wishing to study overseas, and scholars seeking a New Zealand education.
Te ahua o Te Turunga - The nature of the position Reporting to the Director Scholarships, this full-time fixed term role through to the end of March 2026 is accountable for designing, developing, and successfully implementing creative and effective training and learning approaches to support external education providers and the Manaaki operations team to deliver the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships programme (MNZSP).
You will do this in a way that ensures they are well prepared and supported to continue delivering an excellent scholar experience throughout a period of change and development.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop training plans and programmes that will deliver impactful learning and development opportunities for the MNZSP and the Manaaki operations team in their shift to outcomes-focused delivery.
You will do this through leveraging off your strong stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated experience in adult learning, non-formal education and strong working knowledge across all phases of learning design and delivery.
Nga tino Pukenga / Wheako - Essential skills / experiences for the role To be successful in this role you will have:
In-depth expertise in experiential learning, blended learning and participant-centered learning design.
Up to date knowledge of the latest trends in learning design, delivery and learning technology.
Exposure or some experience delivering training in a project/programme environment, including leading and delivering change and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, creatively driven team environment and juggle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience working with tertiary education providers desirable.
Demonstrate an understanding and connection to key concepts of Te Ao Maori, Te Reo Maori and an understanding of why Te Tiriti is important to Aotearoa New Zealand.
