Operations & Service is made up of LIC's core production laboratories, farming operations and the field teams (AB and Herd Testing) who deliver LIC's product on farm. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for the effective management of our internal sample trucks, and the team of permanent and seasonal drivers, to ensure the national fleet is able to deliver a quality Herd Testing service. This role is based out of LIC's Riverlea, Hamilton office, and but will require you to travel (and stay overnight) to both Hawera and Christchurch several times a year. The key duties of the role are: Ensuring LIC's customers receive the agreed level of service Recruitment, training and supervision of drivers Lead the team of drivers to ensure effective and efficient delivery, including resourcing and rostering. Monitor drivers using EROAD reporting (logbook requirements etc) Manage all repairs and maintenance requirements of the internal sample transport trucks Deliver sample trays, herd test equipment and milk samples to and from regional bases in the Waikato, and other areas as required.
