The Team and Service
Tupu Ake is aPeer Led internationally recognised, community based acute alternative to hospital. We provide ahomelike environment for guests who would otherwise need hospitaladmission. 

LivedExperience refers to the personal experience of mental health and addictionservices. As a leader of Tupu Ake you will support our kaimahi to userecovery tools, models, and practices to inspire resilience, hope, andwellbeing. 

A rights andvalues-based peer led service situated in a beautiful 12-bed villa inPapatoetoe, where peers use their own personal lived experience of mentaldistress and/or addiction challenges and recovery to nurture hope and personalpower, inspiring others to move forward with their lives.

You'll be reportingto the Service and Relationship Manager and working with the support of your 3Senior Peer Support Specialists to lead a great team of 9 Peer SupportSpecialists, 4 clinicians, a cook Kaimahi, and others who walk alongsideguests to achieve their wellbeing goals.

We're looking for an inspirational leader withpersonal lived experience to join Tupu Ake in Papatoetoe Auckland, as a PeerTeam Coach. You will ensure the efficient and effective use of resources forthe team while fostering innovation and improvement of service, empowering and inspiringpeople towards recovery and wellbeing in order to ensure Tupu Ake is thebest it can be.

You will provide regular coaching (via yourself oryour senior support team) and be focused oninspiring mutual support to every member of your team to exceed their personalbest in everything they do. 

Thisis a full-time role, working Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, withafter-hours on call duties every 8-10 weeks. Based inPapatoetoe, Auckland

We are interested tohear from experienced peer leaders who have the ability to support and inspirea team and live peer values. As well as having great leadership and peopleskills, you'll ideally have demonstrated the ability to work well with otherservices such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector.

Must have a working knowledge of the consumer peer support lived experience workforce competencies (CPSLE) You will have also completed Peer Employment or Intentional Peer Support training Completed Level 4 certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalency Preferred but not essential experience and a qualification in health, management or a related discipline Clinical experience is welcome You will be able to speak to your lived experience and journey to wellbeing Role model wellbeing and leadership, and support Peer Support Specialists to do the same Great networking skills and the ability to develop high performing teams ClosingDate | Ra Katinga: Wednesday, 7th August 2024.
