Teaching at an intermediate school can be challenging but incredibly rewarding. This is a pivotal time in our students' development, and as teachers, our greatest gift is fostering their belief in themselves. We need adults who model integrity, passion, resilience, and positive attitudes.
The ideal candidate will have a balanced lifestyle, be committed to excellence, and understand that plans may not always go according to schedule. They will be enthusiastically involved in the school, both inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, they will possess a passion for curriculum, knowledge of behaviour management, a sense of humour, and a collaborative spirit.
NIS is dedicated to best teaching practices. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential. Strengths in Formative Assessment, PB4L, Structured Literacy, and strong content knowledge in mathematics and literacy would be advantageous. These teaching positions may be in either Y7 or Y8.
