Listed 11:18 am 21 August 2024 Closes 3pm 06 September 2024 Vacancy reference #: 1HAhug Iona College is looking for a motivated kaiwhakaako who has a proven ability to lead te reo me nga tikanga Maori. We wish to grow a love of learning te reo Maori in our kotiro. We need a kaea who is familiar with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and who will help facilitate the relationship and work closely with the leader of our kapa haka group. This role is 0.5 FTTE with the possibility of full time depending on supporting subjects.
We are a boarding and day school for girls Y7–13 with a strong Presbyterian heritage and a culture of academic success and outstanding achievement in sports and performing arts. Located in Havelock North, on 27 acres of beautiful park-like grounds the college balances time-honoured traditions with a dynamic and innovative, 21st-century learning environment for 330 students.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young people, can build trusted relationships, has excellent interpersonal skills, can work calmly under pressure and has a collaborative mindset.
The successful candidate will uphold the vision, values and high standards of Iona College by demonstrating unfailing integrity and professionalism at all times and support the special character and co-curricular life of the college.
