We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Kaiako to join our Waitohi kindergarten. Our full year kindergarten is licensed for 30 children aged 2–5 years old and is open for 10 hours each day. Waitohi kindergarten is situated within the Johnsonville Community hub and above the library. This position would suit a Kaiako who enjoys working in a full day and full year model and who has an interest in engaging in the library, to support our localized curriculum.
As Kaiako you will:
Support the kindergarten team in designing and implementing localised curriculum reflective of the Johnsonville community.
Work responsively and inclusively, ensuring tamariki are at the heart of decisions, and where the diversity and uniqueness of each tamariki is valued and celebrated.
Actively contribute to collaborative learning-focused relationships with tamariki, whanau, the teaching team, support staff, and the local community.
Work collaboratively in support of a team culture of open communication, collective problem solving, and shared responsibility.
