Kindergarten Teacher, Wainuiomata – Hutt Kindergartens

Monday - Friday, providing lunch and head teacher release cover
We are looking for a passionate and committed part-time teacher to join the team at Arakura Kindergarten. You'll be supporting the team with lunch cover, head teacher release time, and assessments. As a valued team member, you'll also be involved in weekly team meetings.
You will be working 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Apart from the lunch cover hours, there is some flexibility to set your work schedule.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Have a solid knowledge understanding of Te Whariki
Be a reliable, trustworthy and flexible team player, with a positive attitude
Value and celebrate each child's unique personality
Be able to work in partnership with whanau and the community.
About Arakura Kindergarten Arakura Kindergarten's natural outdoor area offers a calm and relaxed environment where curiosity, exploration and risk-taking are encouraged. Tamariki are involved in self-directed learning and are supported to explore their theories of the natural world, problem solve, negotiate and co-operate.
To support our commitment to Te Ao Maori we have integrated Forest Kindergarten into our current kaupapa where our oldest tamariki are able to experience the Ngahere/forest and are encouraged to make authentic connections to the natural environment by nurturing and respecting the world around them.
