Teacher - Supported Learning

Position: Secondary (Years 7–15) / Wharekura, Certificated Teacher
Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts
About the Role:
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with rangatahi and as part of a team, with a strong sense of community. We want to appoint a Kaiako who is preferably Primary School trained with an expertise in supported learning to join our team on the West Coast. Our Supported Learning Department is the largest on the coast and provides fantastic opportunities for ORS and other students who need extra support.

Greymouth High School serves the entire Mawhera Grey District community and we pride ourselves on inclusiveness in our socio-economically diverse community. We collaborate in Mawhera Kahui Ako and the Manaiakalani Outreach programme, as well as running the West Coast Trades Academy, Mawhera Services Academy, and Alternative Education. All students have the opportunity to work 1:1 using Chromebooks. We seek the highest quality teachers who enjoy going the extra mile for their students and our community.
Additional Information:
This position includes the high priority staffing allowance which can support relocation costs. Please state your areas of specialisation and other subjects.
