Responsibilities As a Teacher (SEN), your duties will include:
Designing and delivering lessons that are adapted to meet the needs of students with SEN.Collaborating with colleagues to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods to maximise learning outcomes.Providing emotional and behavioural support to students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.Supporting students' personal and social development alongside their academic progress.Communicating regularly with parents and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to student development.Requirements To be considered for this role, you should have:
A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent, with relevant experience teaching students with SEN.A strong understanding of SEN and the ability to adapt lessons to cater to individual needs.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development of students.A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
