Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherMathematics and statisticsCentral Southland College is seeking a number of flexible, dynamic and vision-orientated teachers to join our team.
We are currently advertising a number of roles and there may be flexibility between learning areas.This year, after several years of research and planning, we launched our innovative and progressive semester-based curriculum structure, designed to inspire students to become passionate about their learning.
Our focus is promoting engagement and meaningful learning through contextualised courses and allowing students greater choice and agency over the subjects they choose.This structure also allows teachers to choose to teach in multiple areas across our school and upskill in subjects they are keen to consider.
There is also scope to propose new courses each year where staff and student interest allow.Our school is driven by a focus on genuine student and whanau connection and a desire to explore new learning opportunities as we guide our akonga through Y9 to 13.
