Located in Strowan, we are a small centre with beautiful big outside space. We are homely with a strong focus on wellbeing and ensuring every child is valued for their uniqueness. As a diverse centre we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of each and every individual mokopuna that comes through our doors. We are lucky enough to be close to parks and are regularly out in our community on excursions.
About the Role:? If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor), we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday. We appreciate that study is important and can offer some really flexible hours that suit both you and the centre.

You will be based in our Preschool, working alongside tamariki aged 2-5 years old. The preschool provides a fun and loving environment, where children can enjoy their preschool journey of learning and discovery. The dedicated teaching team create a learning environment that empowers our children to get involved, have a go, play, learn and have lots of fun.

We are looking for a flexible, willing and passionate Kaiako in Training who is open to learning with some foundational knowledge of ECE practices. Other requirements:
Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor course Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
