Au Mahi | What You Will Do
As the Academic Administration Assistant, your mission is to sprinkle some administrative magic at Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education! Joining forces with our amazing team, you'll dive into daily tasks with enthusiasm, making sure everything runs as smoothly as a well-choreographed dance.
You will provide high-quality administrative support to the Academic Administrator and the Associate Dean (Academic) and their direct reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative academic team, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations within the faculty. You will also assist with a wide range of administrative tasks, including event coordination, meeting support, and document management, contributing to the success of academic operations.
Mou | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have 1-2 years' experience in an administrative role, preferably within a large to medium organisation, along with:
proven experience in organising and supporting professional events
competency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
experience in online research and document management
excellent written and oral communication skills, with a professional presentation and the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders
strong eye for detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, including document preparation and data management
a high degree of initiative and the ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
